Environment and Waste Management:
Residents can request licenses for fishing, recreational fishing, and waste collection. Additionally, services include bulk waste transfer and the provision and relocation of waste container sites across the city.
Lab Testing and Accreditation:
This department conducts tests on food items, provides training at the central laboratory, tests consumer products, and offers hallmarking services for gemstones.
Veterinary Services:
Residents can access animal treatment, register their pets, and even inquire about adopting a pet through this department.
Drainage and Irrigation:
Services include sewage withdrawal, drainage disconnection, and permanent connections to the sewage network provided by Dubai Municipality.
Land Planning and Building Services:
Residents can request planning permits, obtain building completion certificates, and report building violations through this department.
Public Parks and Agriculture:
Services range from the purchase of fertilizers to agricultural pest control. The department also manages Dubai’s public parks and offers membership cards.
Financial and Business Services:
Residents and business owners can request services such as issuing receipts, inquiring about fines, establishing training labs, and purchasing books. Restaurant approval is also facilitated by Dubai Municipality, with strict guidelines to be followed for compliance.
Food License Requirements:
To obtain a food license, applicants must submit a copy of their trade license and a blueprint of the restaurant building, indicating various areas such as entry and exit passages, food storage, processing areas, ventilation, and equipment placement. Guidelines mandate that the restaurant be fireproof and washable, with a minimum kitchen area of 380 sq. ft. Additionally, separate areas for frozen items storage and the installation of cold and hot water systems are required.
